Willowy palms, hardwood furnishings, a churchlike profusion of candles and torches, whirring paddle fans, wicker, lacquered bamboo, and picture windows opening onto Seven Mile Beach pay tribute to Hemingway's tropic travels. The sushi bar adds a dash of the Far East, while exotic tapas dishes jet from Mumbai to Milan to Madrid (lobster-and-corn lollipops with balsamic-accentuated spicy yogurt dip, slow-cooked guava baby back spareribs with curried walnuts and organic yogurt). Specialties are described earnestly vis-à-vis their Hemingway significance (lobster because Papa often feasted on it in Key West, paella because bullfighters fascinated him, rum-and-coconut shrimp since Ernest founded the Royal Order of Shrimp Eaters in Havana). Entertaining theme nights include Thursday's Taste of Brazil all-you-can-eat rodizio. The key lime pie does justice to the restaurant's namesake.
