This amiable seaside dive-oriented resort is on the ironshore south of George Town, close enough for a short trip to stores and restaurants yet far enough to feel secluded. The rooms are simple. Decor and condition vary wildly, though all now have flat-screen TVs and Wi-Fi (which works best from balconies); the 400 block offers some of the best views. Plans are afoot to display works by leading international marine photographers throughout the guest rooms and public spaces.
Good diving and a homey atmosphere are the main attractions here. A terrific reef is just steps from the rooms. The thatch-roof My Bar is tremendously popular, especially at sunset, and the famous Cathy Church's Underwater Photo Centre and Gallery is based here to round out the island's most comprehensive diving services.

Entire staff was extremely friendly - hotel staff, restaurant staff, dive staff, photoshop staff. Nice, simple hotel with EXCELLENT diving on site. I stayed here in Nov. 2002 and will definitely stay again next time I dive Cayman. One thing - the hot tub is a jacuzzi, meaning it is not heated. If possible, get a package that includes breakfast at the hotel.
