Lobster Pot
Lobster Pot Review
The nondescript building belies the lovely marine-motif decor and luscious seafood at the intimate, second-story restaurant overlooking the harbor. No surprise that fish seem to jump from the plate (or to it, as fishermen cruise up to the dock downstairs). Enjoy lobster prepared a half-dozen ways along with reasonably priced wine, which you can sample by the glass (particularly fine Austrian selections) in the cozy bar. The two musts are the Cayman Trio (lobster tail, grilled mahimahi, and garlic shrimp), and the Pot (lobster, giant prawns, and crab), but the kitchen can happily provide reduced-oil and -fat alternatives to most dishes. The balcony offers a breathtaking view of the sunset tarpon feeding. Lobster is market price and can be as much as $60; other entrées are less expensive.
