Breezes by the Bay

Fodor's Review:

There isn't a bad seat in the house at this nonstop feel-good fiesta festooned with tiny paper lanterns, Christmas lights, and Mardi Gras beads (you're "lei'd" upon entering). Wraparound balconies take in a dazzling panorama from South Sound to Seven Mile Beach. It's a joyous nonstop happy hour all day every day, especially at Countdown to Sunset. Rum aficionados will find 34 varieties (flights available), and cocktail garnishes are impeccably fresh. Equally fresh food at bargain prices, including homemade baked goods and ice creams, isn't an afterthought. Chunky velvety conch chowder served in a bread bowl or near-definitive conch fritters are meals in themselves. Hefty sandwiches are slathered with yummy jerk mayo or garlicky aïoli. Signature standouts include meltingly moist whole fish escoveitch, curry chicken, popcorn shrimp, and jerk-glazed pork chops.
