Fodor's Expert Review Brewers Bay Beach
This beach is easy to find, but the steep, twisting roads leading down to it can be a bit daunting. Normally, the beach is calm and suitable for children, but beware when a north swell comes in. An old sugar mill and the ruins of a rum distillery are off the beach along the road. Nicole's Beach Bar provides the strongest rum cocktails—filled right up to the top—to thirsty sunbathers. It also hosts the only walk-in scuba dive site in the BVI, with a reef home to a rich variety of marine life. You can reach the beach from either Brewers Bay Road East or Brewers Bay Road West. Amenities: drinks. Best for: snorkeling; swimming; diving.
