This is one of those small but special properties distinguished by friendly service and the chance to get to know your fellow guests rather than the poshness of the rooms and the upscale amenities. Villas come in several sizes, and all are quaint—though not fancy—and have good views across the water toward St. John. A sandy beach stretches in front, providing calm waters perfect for kids. The emphasis on wellness is a welcome touch, and beachside yoga classes are a specialty. The staff is helpful and will arrange day sails and scuba-diving trips. Pros: Beautiful beach, spacious units, historic site. Cons: Need car to get around, isolated location.
