Though it's not a sprawling resort, this is our favorite resort on Tortola. The rooms are attractively decorated with more than the usual floral spreads and have balconies with good views, kitchens or kitchenettes, and even some sofa beds. The grounds get accolades for their lovely gardens, but many say the real reason to stay here is the easy access to the excellent restaurant, which has both superb food and a stunning setting in the property's old sugar mill. Owners and food-and-travel writers Jeff and Jinx Morgan have brought all their expertise to this well-run small resort. The north-shore location puts you across the road from a nice beach, but you need a car to do anything more than enjoy the sun and sand.
