Childhood memories of homecooked Italian food inspired owner, Claudio Vigilante, to rename this restaurant after his mom. It's a cozy place tucked away off Front Street, known for its simple fare and low menu prices. The restaurant was renovated to look like an Italian piazza, complete with overhead washing lines. There's also a patio area with huge sofas and an outside bar- a favorite for locals on Friday night. Attentive waitstaff serve comfort food classics such as
homemade pizzas, risottos, gnocchi, potato dumplings and lemon-herb chicken. Before or after dinner, you can swirl a glass of rosso (red wine) beneath the vaulted ceiling of the wine bar, which boasts Bermuda's largest selection of wines by the glass. Be sure to treat yourself to the sorbet or souffle for dessert.
