Tucked away in a Hamilton alley, you can't go wrong with this no-nonsense trattoria, which is pleasant and unpretentious. Any of the pastas, such as lasagna, manicotti, and spaghetti with mixed seafood, can be served in smaller portions as appetizers. Fish fillets are generally panfried with olive oil, garlic, and herbs. La Trattoria's pizzas are cooked in Bermuda's only brick wood-burning pizza oven. About 20 inventive topping combinations (such as arugula and prosciutto) are on the menu, but the chef will mix and match whatever you like.

No atmosphere, poor service. Ok if you are on a budget

My husband and I stumbled upon this little 10 seater family owned restaurant in Hamilton one night and had one of the best dining experiences we've ever had. It's dark and romantic; there is one waitress for the little place; and the menu is written on a chalk board with wine pairings. We were shocked at how inexpensive it was too! What a great experience. Even with all of the great restaurants to try in Bermuda, this one's on the list every time we go.
