Fodor's Review

Veterans of London pub crawls may feel nostalgic at this dark, wood-filled watering hole off Front Street. Grab a seat at the bar or a booth in the corner while you enjoy the ambiance of Hamilton's oldest licensed establishment, opened in 1957. Aficionados of old-style British comfort food will adore the Yorkshire pudding, shepherd's pie, steak-and-kidney pie, fish-and-chips, and bangers and mash. You can work up an appetite just deciding from the impressive burger selection,

and the British ale on tap will wash the food down nicely. A small stage often hosts live music; call ahead to find out more about nightly entertainment.

Nice stop

We enjoyed the Hog Penny. Neat atmosphere with a very friendly staff. I had the Shepherd's Pie, which was very good.

Not worth the price

March 2009. Expensive for what you get! Average tasting food and very little of it. Bread?, sure! just pay extra! If you like pubs, go there for just a beer or skip it!

Go For The Drinks, Not The Food

Great location. Makes you feel like you are in an English pub. Maybe thats where they got the food. Boring and tough.
