Formerly known as Monty's, this once greasy spoon café has reinvented itself into a lovely French-influenced restaurant. It's worth the walk west out of Hamilton to see why this charming spot is a firm favorite with locals and tourists alike. The atmosphere is casual and the food delicious. Recommended starters are crab cakes or fish chowder with sherry pepper sauce. For dinner, make the most of the local fish, usually sea bass, rockfish or wahoo, cooked to your liking. To really fill up, treat yourself to the three-course set menu, available nightly for $37.50. The portions are a healthy size, and the knowledgeable staff will keep you entertained. An easy-listening duo performs at dinner on Friday night.

We ate here for our last meal of our honeymoon and by the time we got back to the states, I knew something was wrong. After seeing the doctor, he confirmed my fears- I had food poisoning- and the only thing I had eaten all day was a turkey sandwich from Bouchee. 3 days of gastro problems and not a pleasant ending to our honeymoon!

Visited this past Easter weekend. Doorman at the Hamilton Princess Hotel advised us that "Monty's" had changed it's name to "Bouchee's". New name for the past month or so. Our waiter advised that the restaurant (still the same owners) was planning to change the menu a bit to reflect a French theme. Was hoping for a Bermudian breakfast, but menu was typical breakfast fare...eggs, omelettes, french toast, etc. Requested an egg white omelette and eventhough not on the menu, my request was accommodated. Orange juice was fabulous...freshly squeezed...lots of pulp. Friendly service, though the wait staff could be a bit more attentive. Breakfast for three about $60 US including the 18% included gratuity.
