Fodor's Review

This former whiskey warehouse is now a lively restaurant serving creative, contemporary Bermudian cuisine, as well as a handful of Latin- and Asian-flavored dishes. Try the signature grilled tuna, the bow-tie chicken pasta, or the panfried rockfish. Lunchtime favorites include burgers, salads, and brick oven pizza and, for those lazy weekends, they also do a great Sunday brunch from 11 to 5. For dessert, go straight for the New York cheesecake or brownie banana split.

If you get there early enough, grab a table on the veranda overlooking the harbor and be sure to stick around—the classic martini list makes this a fabulous spot to hang out and enjoy live music Tuesday through Saturday.

The Pickled Onion Review

I agree with the earlier reviews. Nice place right above Front Street so make sure you sit outside. Wait staff was friendly and didn't rush us at all. Very good food.

A favourite

Another favourite for us - particularly lunch on the balcony in the sun. Friendly staff, tons of good value, well prepared food, and usually not long to wait for a table. Great!

Good for Lunch

Had lunch on the upstairs balcony overlooking the harbor. Nice pizza, salads, spring rolls. Good place to eat with kids. Good service.

What The Doctor Ordered

Food was reasonably priced, familiar and well presented and cooked. Drinks were inventive and DANGEROUS... we started having way to much fun after one or four Fruit Loops. For Bermuda, excellent value

The Most Fun and Hopping Place on Front Street

Four of us had dinner here, and we all really enjoyed ourselves. The Dark and Stormy Mussels appetiser was really unique and very tasty-made with the local black rum and ginger beer. The entertainment was a blast, a duo from Canada, had a few gremlins in the sound system to start, but when they got that sorted, they rocked!

This is the place to be!

Pickled Onion was by far the best part of our Bermuda vacation. In a seven day trip we managed to squeeze 5 visits in. One of the better values in Bermuda, they seemed to be one of the busiest places we visited, and the martini cocktails are really good! Food is exactly what you would expect from a casual restaurant, well executed and great value.

Slow, Surly Service Overshadowed Good Food

The food here is very good and during our stay (October) they had many plates for $20. The service is the worst in Bermuda. We waited 45 minutes between the appetizer and the main course. The waiter was completely unapologetic and said that was "normal" for a Friday night. He did the bare minimum, as he knew the service charge would be added to the bill regardless of his efforts. The chef should move to another restaurant.
