The Oxford House is the only true bed-and-breakfast in Hamilton, and one imagines that even if it had competition, it would still be the best. Even executives staying in town should be impressed by the elegant beige two-story town house, which is two blocks from the capital's shops, ferries, and buses. Rooms have Internet and desks. The 1938 inn is family-owned and -operated, and each room is individually decorated with pretty, matching fabrics and antique and reproduction
furniture. Polished cedar floors, a fireplace, and handsome Chippendale chairs lend warmth to the breakfast room, where you can sample scones each morning. There are coffeemakers in the rooms as well.

This is a very nice bed and breakfast and is ideal for a stay when you don't need a pool. I travel to Bermuda for business and this place is perfect - located in town and close to many of the offices I frequent. The house has at least 6 rooms all nicely decorated with private baths , cable tv etc. Breakfast is included.

Oxford House was highly recommended by Fodor's and others, and was touted as the recipient of repeated "best of Bermuda" awards. However, our experience was a major disappoinment. Our room was shabby, if not down right seedy: The bedspread had holes in it, the carpet was heavily soiled and the room smelled musty. The "king-sized" bed was two twins with rigid frames pushed together (not comfy or romantic), the shower had a large hole in the wall,
the bathroon sink did not drain, the room was infested with tiny ants that invaded everything including our luggage, the staff was not accessible and spoke little English, and breakfast consisted of canned fruit, raw eggs and a steamer with no instructions, and bread products recycled day after day. Overal, our experience was very disappointing.

We like to stay here when in Hamilton. Perfect location...close to shops, restaurants, ferry and bus station. Good breakfast and friendly atmosphere.
