Book NowThe Royal Palms Review
The Royal Palms is a winner for having high standards, great service, and a welcoming touch with fresh-from-the-garden flowers to celebrate your arrival. This is a hotel that takes its high standards seriously, but also has enough humor to leave a rubber ducky on your bath mat. The best perch might well be the front swing, from which you can survey the lush grounds, including two tall royal palms that give the hotel its name. Also wonderful is the sunny, all-glass breakfast room where you eat at 90-year-old Bermudian cedar tables. If you're looking for privacy, there are three buildings set around the gardens of the main 1903 building; many rooms here have private entrances. It's clear that owner Susan Weare put more detailed care into her property, and manages it better than just about anyone else in Bermuda. A final touch is Ascot's—one of the island's best restaurants.

I booked this hotel after much consideration. I have been to Bermuda many times; but, this was my first trip with two teenaged girls as companions. The Royal Palms proved to be an excellent choice. The grounds are lovely and I enjoyed having my coffee or wine sitting among the gorgeous flowers and fountains. Our room (23) was very large and quite comfortable. It was kept clean and fresh. There was a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker which allowed me to keep a ready supply of snacks (teenagers apparently go hungry if left unfed for more than an hour at a time). The girls had twin beds and I had a pullout sofa. It was adequate and about as good as a sofa can be. We had an excellent supply of towels for both beach and the room. I felt very secure in the hotel and was comfortable letting the girls go out to explore Hamilton on their own.
The staff was very accomodating and polite. The breakfast is good. The girls loved the waffles! The hotel keeps a good supply of dvd's for in room viewing, which kept the girls entertained.
I highly recommend the Royal Palms and its very capable, professional staff. -

This is a perfect little oasis on the edge of Hamilton. We travel extensively but were still impressed by this 'boutique' hotel for its personal attention and standard/value of accommodation. It seems that many or most of the guests were business regulars but Theresa and Johnny still found time to give us advice about what to do and where to go. The rooms have flat screens TVs, fast Internet and are bright and well furnished in traditional style. They have a first class restaurant (Ascots) but we certainly wanted to dine elsewhere and Theresa was very helpful in making reservations etc. This is an ideal getaway for couples I don't know if families with young children would find it close enough to the beach. We didn't need the beach and will return
