Willowbank is simply a serene and restful alternative to glitzier resorts, with 6 acres of wonderful views and marvelous beaches. The waterfront property splits two fine beaches and the scenic lookout has to be one of the more refreshing vistas on the island. Practicing Christians may appreciate knowing that this former estate was converted to a family-style hotel by a Christian trust. Morning devotions are held in a lounge, and grace is said before supper (announced by
an ancient ship's bell). But there's no proselytizing. Many guest rooms sit right on the ocean, have contemporary furnishings, but purposefully are devoid of phones and TVs. However, cell phones are provided for guests and there's a TV room. Ask for Room 44, which has one of the best views for the price in Bermuda.

I've been to Willowbank five times and each one has been a totally relaxing ecperience. There really isn't any nightlife but that might be a good thing. The grounds are beautiful, the two small beaches are perfect, and the view is fantastic. The MAP price includes gratuities and the price is cheaper than any place else we found in Bermuda. Everyone there was incredibly friendly - guests and staff. Food was basic but good and you get to meet some
wonderful people at the "share a table" seating. The big drawback - no tv. After 9-11, I like to be able to know what's going on in the world and I felt isolated. There is a big tv in the main lobby, but I really missed having one in the room.
