Granaway Guest House

Fodor's Review:

One of the island's best values, Granaway is a 1734 manor house with villa-like lawn and gardens leading to a clear and well-maintained pool. Any of the outdoor chairs and lounges are great places to relax. The pink house is across the street from Hamilton Harbour and ferries to Hamilton. South shore beaches are a 30-minute walk, or a jaunt of a cab ride, so it's an affordable option if you don't have to be on the beach. All rooms are distinct; the Palmetto Room features original cedar beams, and the Royale Room has a private terrace with harbor views. A private cottage, which maxes out at $300 a night in peak season, gives you your own small home with kitchen. Pros: great value, gardened terrace, relaxing lawn and pool area, historic property. Cons: not waterfront or easy walk to beaches, only continental breakfast.

  • Hotel Details: 4 rooms, 1 cottage
  • In-room: kitchen (some), refrigerator, Wi-Fi.
  • In-hotel: pool, Internet terminal.
  • Rate includes: Continental breakfast
  • Credit Cards: AE, MC, V
