In an elegant former mansion just outside downtown Hamilton, Ascots gives you a wonderful excuse to leave the city. When weather permits, meals are served on the covered terrace, with its stone fountain, or on the front veranda, as well as indoors. You can assemble at the handsome cedar bar before and after meals. The high standards of owners Angelo Armano and Edmund Smith result in creative and seasonal menu offerings that incorporate fresh ingredients from local farmers and fishermen. You might want to try the tempura shrimp on a bed of noodles or Bermuda fishcakes with citrus curry sauce and fruit chutney. For something different, order the banana soup with black rum—it's unusual but very popular. An extensive wine list is available to complement your meal.

Very excited to go to Ascot's for my anniversary. The evening was very nice except for the food. The food was very heavy, swimming in sauces. The fish dish was
over cooked and dry When asked about my dinner, I told the waiter it was okay at best. No one inquired or asked again about the meal. Very disappointed overall.

I've been to ths restaurant 2 times recently because it's next to my place. The setting is impressive, beautiful garden, big and sophisticated house and decoration, good wine list. But the magic disappear like cinderella as soon as you receive the starters, the soup tastes like coming from cans, and the fish is overcooked with too much oil and salt, impossible to finish it. This doesn't match the beauty of this place and the price is ridiculous for that kind of food, I prefer'La Trattoria' where they have good foods by far.

I always include at least one meal at Ascots during any visit to Bermuda. It is a wonderful restaurant with consistently good quality meals. The service is top notch.
