Tucked away in a narrow Hamilton alley, this family-favorite trattoria has a warm, yellow and brick interior and crew of friendly waiters. You're guaranteed a comfortable and unpretentious meal. Start your dinner with a basket of garlic bread or bruschetta and then choose from Italian classics such as lasagna, manicotti, and spaghetti with mixed seafood; any of the pastas can be served in smaller portions as appetizers. For a taste of the sea try the fish fillets, generally panfried with olive oil, garlic, and herbs. Without a doubt the king of the menu is pizza—La Trattoria's pies are cooked in Bermuda's only brick, wood-burning pizza oven. About 20 inventive topping combinations (such as arugula and prosciutto) are on the menu, but the chef will mix and match whatever you like.
