Lone Star Hotel Review

This 1940s-era service station was transformed into a sleek beachfront boutique hotel that—fortunately or unfortunately—has since been discovered by celebrities. Refurbished in 2014 by new owners, the hotel's three large, architecturally fascinating suites—two at beach level and one double-size penthouse suite—are beautifully decorated in elegant neutral colors and furnished in minimalist style with enormous Bajan mahogany beds, chic Italian-designed upholstered furniture, and Philippe Starck fixtures in the bathrooms. Each suite—appropriately dubbed Buick, Cadillac, and Studebaker—has its own communications and entertainment center. A shady terrace overloks the beach; golf, tennis, fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, and horseback riding are available nearby. The restaurant is extraordinary—both in terms of cuisine and atmosphere.
