Club Med-Columbus Isle Review

The 89-acre oceanfront village is one of Club Med's most luxurious resorts, with state-of-the-art dive facilities, including three custom-made 45-foot catamarans and a decompression chamber. Rooms are in colorful buildings and all have patios or balconies and handcrafted furniture. Expect the usual Club Med activities: water aerobics, sports tournaments, dance lessons, and theater shows. Guided bike tours introduce vacationers to island life. The resort is sprawling, so you can partake in activities or find secluded spots to yourself. The dining room is set up with both shared tables to mingle, and private tables for more romance. Rates include everything from two daily boat snorkel trips to waterskiing, but charge additionally for spa treatments and dives. This resort caters primarily to upscale couples, but the vibe is more low-key than at most Club Meds, and is one of the most recommended by Club Med fanatics. Nonguests can also enjoy the property with a day pass ($72), evening pass ($92), or an all-day pass ($140). Passes include meals, all you can drink, and all the activities including the shows and snorkel trips.
