Greenwood Beach Resort Review

Set on an 8-mi stretch of pink shell-strewn sand, this remote resort is about 35 minutes from the Bight airport. The resort has a dive shop, one of only two on the island. Divers can go out on the resort's boat or dive at the reef just offshore. Owned by the Illing family from Germany, the resort is popular with Europeans. The large clubhouse, with its yellow-and-white walls and vivid tropical paintings, is the center of activity. You can relax at the attractive stonework bar or on the veranda, which has open vistas of the violet-blue Atlantic; or catch some rays at the pool or beach. Rooms are bright and cheerfully decorated with colorful fish stencils and rattan furnishings. Breakfast and dinner are served family style. Picnic lunches are prepared for day excursions. This is an ideal location for vacationers looking for beachfront tranquillity.
