Abaco Beach Resort and Boat Harbour Review

One of the liveliest party spots on the island, this place rocks during the half-dozen fishing tournaments it hosts every year in spring and early summer. The boating crowd keeps the place hopping the rest of the year as well, with a slight slowdown in August and September. The resort is set on 52 manicured acres overlooking the Sea of Abaco, just five minutes from the Marsh Harbour airport or a short ferry ride away from Hope Town on Elbow Cay. The spacious ocean-view rooms have natural-stone floors, white wicker furnishings, marble wet bars, built-in hair dryers, and in-room satellite TVs. Dine on roasted rack of lamb with garlic mashed potatoes or a broiled lobster tail at Angler's Restaurant, which overlooks gleaming rows of yachts moored in the marina. The resort's dive shop will arrange fishing charters and boat rentals; use of small sailboats and kayaks is complimentary. Lounge poolside and enjoy fruity rum drinks at the swim-up bar while your kids explore the beach playground.
