Coco Bay Cottages Review
Sandwiched between one beach on the Atlantic and another calmer, sandy stretch on the bay are six spacious cottages—including two three-bedroom cottages added in 2006 and a four-bedroom cottage completed in July 2009—that all have views of the water. Each has lovely rattan furniture and a modern kitchen with utensils. Conch Shell and Conch Pearl, the three-bedroom cottages, each have a master suite with king bed and walk-in closet, washer and dryer, satellite TV, and DVD player. Snorkeling and diving are excellent around the reef that protects the Atlantic beach. The bay, where sunset views are fabulous, is prime territory for shell or sea-glass collecting and bonefishing. A separate building holds a library with games and books and satellite TV. If you rent a boat—it's recommended—you can tie up at the property's bay-side dock. There is a four night minimum stay.

Visited Green Turtle Jun-Jul 07. We stayed at Coco Bay Cottages. Great location, with a view of the bay and ocean. You can get a pretty good representation of the property and cottages from the web site. However, after being there and seeing all the cottages, the Pink Cottage is only one of the older cottages I would advise, and it has it's issues.(That's the one we ended up in). The recreation building (that term is to be used loosely) houses a TV and phone(that mostly does not work). As the other older buildings, it needs work, cleaned, and at least a fan if you plan to spend over 5 minutes inside. The phone service is barely operational at this time.
The new cottages are homes, and are absolutely beautiful, well done, with all the amenities. The owners are accommodating. The property provides dock space and the location is easy access to everywhere, by boat that is. The roads are TERRIBLE. Would highly recommend Reef Rentals for a boat, and Sea Side Cart Rentals for a golf cart.
The Pineapple Bar and Grill serves excellent fresh fish dinners $20. with good service. Fun place. Save your money and avoid the Wrecking Tree. The food and the service both STINK.
We rented tanks and weights from Brendals. Mary was totally unfriendly. Maybe she's more friendly if you spend more money, or maybe they just need some competition. It you want to dive though, Brendal's it is.
If I were to go back, the Coco Bay area is beautiful, as well as the nearby cays, Fiddle, Manjack, etc. really nice. But, I would only stay in the new builds at Coco Bay Cottages. The others just need too much work for what you pay.
