Fodor's Review:

The unmistakable sight of this peach fantasia comes into view just as you cross the Paradise Island Bridge. The towering sunstruck visage is Royal Towers, the largest wing of the Atlantis resort. With glitzy shopping malls, a cabaret theater, and seemingly unlimited choices for dining and drinks (35 restaurants and bars), Atlantis is as much a tourist attraction as a resort hotel. New in 2007 is Dolphin Cay, where guests can interact with 17 dolphins displaced in Gulfport, Mississippi after Hurricane Katrina. Aquaventure, a 63-acre waterscape with thrilling waterslides and high-intensity rapids, also opened in early 2007. Aura, a nightclub above Nobu restaurant, and Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill at the Cove Atlantis both debuted in April 2007. Many of the resort's facilities, including the restaurants and casino, are open to nonguests. For a peek at the rest—including the world's largest man-made marine habitat, consisting of 11 lagoons—take the guided "Discover Atlantis" tour, which begins near the main lobby at an exhibition called "The Dig." This wonderful series of walk-through aquariums, themed around the lost continent and its re-created ruins, brings you face to face with sharks, manta rays, and innumerable forms of exotic sea life. The rest of the tour tempts you with a walk through the many waterslides and pools inaccessible to nonguests.

Did not stay at the resort, but each time I have visited New Providene we purchase the day pass there. The resort is unbelievable.. a little to glitzy for my tastes, but the aquarium part as well as the water attractions(water slides) are a blast,. Need to move there

This was my second trip to the Atlantis, so I was prepared for high prices but this is what I found. Atlantis is truly a water park and aquarium on steriods. However these attractions come with a price. Service is poor. There are long lines to eat at all restaurants (reservations needed for most) and then there is the expense. Dinner for two at Johnny Rockets (two hamburgers, french fries, two shakes = $49). Dinner for two at Carmines Italian rest = $102.00, get the picture. Well after about two days of 3 times the normal price you get enough, the problem is that there is no where to go! Try purchasing a bottle of water, 12 oz = $4.00 and it won't even be cold. Try finding someone who cares and you will be on a long hunt (pack a lunch). Then there are the crowds! Everywhere! If you are going for peace and quiet this is not the place. You will constantly be herded in with hundreds if not thousands of people you will never see again, everywhere you go. Oh, by the way, when you check out you will get another surprise...you will have to pay a 1x bellman gratuity of about $6 per person, and Room gratuities of $10 per person PER DAY! They won't tell you this upon check in. Anyway, I was at the Atlantis with 400-500 people who travel very regularly and 99% percent agreed that they would not return.
