Fodor's Review:

This upscale bed-and-breakfast was originally deeded in 1796 and built by Thomas W. Johnson, Briland's first justice of the peace. Set in a hilltop garden filled with bougainvillea, royal poincianas, and roses, this lovely seven-bedroom house thrives thanks to the loving preservation work done by genial owner-host John Hersh. Each guest room has local artwork, four-poster beds with decorative netting, a comfy sofa, and gracious Queen Anne-style writing desks. Enjoy a Continental breakfast each morning on the deck.

This is a really cute bed and breakfast with comfortable beds and nice clean bathrooms. All of the rooms are unique and painted pretty colors with nice decorations. There is a nice reading room and a living room with tv. Breakfast is fresh fruit and toast/pastries for breakfast with fresh-squeezed orange juice and coffee. It's right up the street from the ferry dock and close to everything else as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel for Harbour Island. The only real drawback is that when you leave your room you cannot lock the door, just close it and put a stopper in front of it to keep it closed. There are safes in each room, though. We completely loved our stay here!
