The resort sits on 9 hilly acres right above its namesake, the world-famous, 3-mi-long pink beach. The bright, individually decorated guest rooms have British colonial-style furnishings. Upstairs rooms—reached by curving steps—have access to expansive rooftop terraces. Some rooms have child-size futons and adjoining bedrooms; all have small private balconies overlooking the ocean or lushly planted gardens through French doors. The restaurant offers an eclectic mix of Bahamian favorites and Italian classics, served on a balcony with open arches framing breathtaking views of the ocean. Lunch is served at a beach bar high above the rosy sand.

What more could you ask for ?? Just steps from the sofest pink sand !! The staff was incredible. Gorgeous property ! I rated the room a 2 because the bathroom left a lot to be desired. The bedroom area was gorgeous - all Pottery Barn and a wonderful mattress and very soft sheets !! BUT - the bathroom was NASTY ! The towels were so stained and rough they actually scratched your skin and you don't need that after a day in the sun. It would take 10 minutes to get hot water and the shower had little or no pressure. There's no shelf in the shower for soap, shampoo etc. The floor was always dirty, I think the white tiles were worn and stained. But dust all around the edges. I sent a note to the office telling them how we felt about the bathroom - so maybe it will be corrected. The food was good - expensive but the whole island is. We would go back - maybe they'll have the bathroom issue corrected by then. Oh - gotta love chickens - they are everywhere !!
