Fodor's Review:

Hungry Bahamians turn up for johnnycake and "boil fish," the restaurant's breakfast specialty. A bowl of this peppery local dish, filled with chunks of boiled potatoes, onions, and grouper, may keep you coming back to this dimly lighted, basic, out-of-the-way "Ma's kitchen," where Bahamian dishes, including peas 'n' rice and cracked conch, are served from 7 AM to 10:30 PM. It's just a short cab ride from downtown Nassau. If you leave the restaurant in the evening, particularly on a Friday or Saturday night, ask the waiter to call you a cab. The neighborhood is not particularly dangerous, but is not a good area to walk around at night.
