The innovative Japanese restaurant conceived and run by chef Nobu Matsuhisa opened December 2005 in Atlantis's Royal Towers, adjacent to the casino. The central dining room is surrounded by a Japanese pagoda, and guests seated at a long communal sushi bar can watch the chefs work. Reservations are suggested.

We rely heavily on Fodor's to choose restaurants when we travel. Nobu was our only disappointment the week we visited Nassau. Its the only restaurant I wouldn't visit again. As a group we ordered entrees, soups, salads, and sides. There was no order to service. 5 of us ordered the Chillean Sea Bass, which was very good. My wife ordered Tenderloin Toban Yaki, which was also very good. The problem was that 2 of the Sea Bass dishes, and my wife's beef came out before salads. My guess is that a party of 2 would find the restaurant much more accommodating (we had a party of 10). But we went with 10 to 6 other restaurants. This one was the weakest.
