Portofino

Fodor's Review:

Nassau's movers and shakers meet here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In the British Colonial Hilton Nassau, Portofino offers homemade Italian pasta dishes and pizza as well as Bahamian favorites such as pan-seared snapper with mango sauce, conch chowder, and guava duff. The lavish lunch buffet far surpasses the usual hotel fare. For breakfast, don't miss the Bahamian johnnycakes. Ask for a window seat so you can see the cruise ships come and go in the harbor. After dinner, you can walk to the hotel's private beach for a lovely view of the harbor and Paradise Island.
