The Abaco Club on Winding Bay

Fodor's Review:
Drive 25 minutes south of Marsh Harbour to get to The Abaco Club on Winding Bay, a glamorous private golf and sporting club (for resident and nonresident members) set on 520 acres of stunning oceanfront property. The clubhouse, restaurant, and pool, which sit on 65-foot high white limestone bluffs, offer guests a mesmerizing view of the purple-blue Atlantic Ocean, and the bay has more than 2 mi of sugar-sand beaches. Amenities and activities at The Club (242/367-0077 or 888/303-2765. www.theabacoclub.com) include an 18-hole tropical links golf course, a luxurious European-style spa and fitness center, scuba diving, snorkeling, horseback riding, tennis, bonefishing, and offshore fishing. Real estate for sale includes 70 exquisite two- and three-bedroom turnkey cottages and 60 estate homesites. The Ritz-Carlton group manages club operations, and they have plans to build a fishing village in Cherokee Sound and a small private marina in Little Harbour.
