Deadman's Cay

Fodor's Review:

The town of Deadman's Cay is the island's largest settlement. Here you'll find a few shops, churches, and schools. Just east of Deadman's Cay, Cartwright's Cave has stalactites and stalagmites and eventually leads to the sea. The cave has apparently never been completely explored, although Arawak drawings were found on one wall. For guided cave tours, contact Leonard Cartwright (242/337-0235). There are several other caves, supposedly pirate-haunted, around Simms, Millers, and Salt Pond; a local should be able to point you in the right direction.
