Fodor's Review:
The annual Long Island Regatta, featuring Bahamian-made boats, is held in Salt Pond every June. The regatta is the island's biggest event, attracting contestants from all over the islands. Three days of partying and pig roasts are sparked at night by lively local bands. Salt Pond is 10 mi south of Simms.
