Williams Town

Fodor's Review:

The old village of Williams Town lies at Little Exuma Island's southern tip. Out here, you can see salt raking at certain times of the year, and wild cotton still grows along the way to the picturesque hilltop ruins of the Hermitage, a former plantation house. Ask for directions to Pelican's Bay, down an unmarked gravel road north of town. Besides finding a romantic, secluded beach, you can step across a line marking the Tropic of Cancer.
