Sandy Point

Fodor's Review:

Sandy Point, a "takin' it easy, mon" fishing village with miles of beckoning beaches and a couple of bonefishing lodges, is slightly more than 50 mi southwest of Marsh Harbour. The Great Abaco Highway leg, which runs into the settlement, ends at Rickmon Bonefish Lodge. You can park your car here, have a cold drink in the lodge bar, and enjoy the beach or fish the flats on your own. There are no communities to visit south of Sandy Point, but a major navigational lighthouse stands at Hole-in-the-Wall, on Great Abaco's southern tip. It's not open to visitors.
