The small, eclectic artist's colony of Little Harbour was settled by the Johnston family more than 50 years ago. Pete Johnston's Foundry (242/477-5487), the only bronze foundry in the Bahamas, is the centerpiece, and sculptor Johnston and his sons and acolytes cast magnificent lifelike bronze figures using the age-old lost-wax method. In Pete's Pub and Gallery (242/366-3503 or 954/840-3698. www.petespubandgallery.com), you can view the fine bronzes, unique gold jewelry, and other original island art for sale, or chow down on fresh seafood, burgers, and cold drinks. Try the mango-glazed grouper, lemon pepper mahimahi, or coconut cracked conch while you kick back and enjoy a view of the harbor. And don't miss the Saturday wild pig roasts (April through July). By car, Little Harbour is about 30 minutes south of Marsh Harbour.
