Pompey Museum

Fodor's Review:

The building, where slave auctions were held in the 1700s, is named for a rebel slave who lived on the Out Island of Exuma in 1830. Exhibits focus on the issues of slavery and emancipation and highlight the works of local artists. A knowledgeable, enthusiastic young staff is on hand to answer questions.

  • Cost: $3 adults, $2 seniors, $1 under 14.
  • Open: Mon.-Wed. and Fri. 9:30-4:30, Sat. 10-1
