Fodor's Review:

The Central Bank of the Bahamas monitors and regulates the country's financial institutions. The building's cornerstone was laid by Prince Charles on July 9, 1973, during the country's Independence celebrations, and the bank was opened by Queen Elizabeth II in February 1975 (you can find commemorations of these events at the back of the building). Throughout the year, exhibits on two floors of the lobby display emerging Bahamian artists' work.

  • Open: Weekdays 9:30-4:30
