$-$$, Eclectic, Harbour Island
Fodor's Review:
You can't miss this building -- it's bright lime green with cobalt shutters -- at the end of the block past the elementary school. Sit inside and enjoy the paintings by local artists and a little "sip sip" (Bahamian for gossip) with the locals, or dine on the shaded deck overlooking Harbour Island's pink beach. The restaurant serves lunch only, from 11:30 AM to 4 PM. The menu is eclectic, with local fish dishes using Mediterranean and Asian ingredients. One of Harbour Island's most contemporary eateries, its specialties include spicy conch chili, carrot cake with ginger-caramel frosting, and Sip Sip rum punch. Check out the blackboard for the daily specials.
