Fodor's Review:
Purchased by new owners in September 2005, this is one of the best fishing destinations in the Bahamas. Shaded by coconut palms, the remote property on Crooked Island's northwestern tip has miles of open beach at its doorstep and unobstructed views of the emerald water surrounding Bird Rock Lighthouse. Rooms are motel-style units with double beds. Ask for an ocean view and air-conditioning. The main lodge -- which has a restaurant, bar, and library -- once housed the Bahamas' first post office. Fresh grilled wahoo and hog snapper are sure winners on the dinner menu ($-$$). Captain Robbie Gibson leads snorkeling, diving, reef, and offshore fishing adventures. All-inclusive bonefishing packages are available with top guides.
