This cushy resort has colonial-style cottages spread along a 4-mi stretch of velvety white-sand beach. Spacious one- or two-bedroom units have their own large, fully furnished screened porches steps away from the turquoise water. Twelve 1,800-square-foot luxury villas with high-speed Internet, entertainment centers, and full kitchens were completed in December 2006. The marble-floor reception building contains a small gym and TV room. In the Beach House dining room ($$-$$$), you can feast on superb broiled lobster and delicious conch salads. Magenta sunsets are the trademark of the beachside bar. The water-sports activities office arranges Hobie Cat sailing, snorkeling, and deep-sea, reef, or bonefishing excursions.
