The Poop Deck at Sandyport

  • Bahamian

Fodor's Review

A more upscale version of the other Poop Deck, this waterside restaurant has soaring ceilings, a cool-pink-and-aqua color scheme, and a dazzling view of the ocean. Start with grilled shrimp and Brie before diving into the fresh catch of the day paired with a selection from the extensive wine list. There's a smattering of choices for the seafood-phobic.

Dinner On the Beach

I have enjoyed many wonderfull diners around the world, The Poop Deck @ Sandyport though will go down as one of the best. I wanted to impress my date, I wanted something that would really impress her. I found the place, The Poop Deck out west, we ate dinner right on the beach, the surf was ten feet away from us. Stone crab and champagne was what we started on, then we had a grilled snapper that we picked as we arrived, all I can say is we are planing

to return, what started out as a great dinner ended up being a great night, cant wait to get back. Thanks Poop Deck

One of the Best & Freshest Seafood I have ever had. An A+ Restaurant in my Book!

I have eaten at PoopDeck SandyPort several times now as each time I visit Nassau, I still crave their food. Their hog snapper grilled whole is delicious and melts in your mouth with each bite. The Mahi Mahi & sweet potato mash dish is wonderful. Their lobster is always cooked just right, never overdone and their lamb and steaks are delicious. Like I said in the title, an A+ restaurant in my book. I try to be disciplined with the carbohydrates but

I still cant manage not eating at least one (or two) of their rolls before the food arrives. They are always warm and have a sweet touch to it. Other carbs that are a must include: shrimp pizza, conch fritters and their grouper wrap. Last but not least, they offer seating on their outdoor deck but also right on the beach by request so you can have a romantic dinner for two listening to the waves crashing on the surf. Great place for a wedding ceremony & reception. They can hold up to about 300 people I believe. My friend had her destination wedding there for 200 and just loved it!

Pooped Out

Not enough waiters. Very uneven service and only 2 servers rushed off their feet. The food was average and there was no wine list. We expected more than "white" or "red". Overpiced for the quality received.

Nothing Fishy About Those Fishcakes!

The view at the restaurant is absolutely gorgeous. The service was not bad at all, but what stands out more than anything are the sweet potato fishcakes. It's been a year since I was there but I've never forgotten how delicious those fishcakes were. The ginger flavor really adds something special to the dish. Simply delicious!

Romance Is Alive At The Sandyport Poop Deck

Great ocean view, romantic setting, good food, wine and service. This was the best restaurant in Nassau.
