These simply decorated time-share and short-term rental accommodations are perfect for young families or groups of friends traveling together. The stucco units are spread across landscaped grounds. Tiled three-bedroom luxury villas, oceanfront or garden-side, sleep six comfortably—up to eight using roll-aways (so the price is really quite reasonable when shared by several people). Each unit has oversize rooms, delightful secluded patios, a fully equipped kitchen, a washer
and dryer, and a dishwasher. The pool and some units overlook the ocean.

Hello, I just joined Fordor's so thought I would go back and rate my past stays. I stayed at Guanahani Village a few years ago in 2006. I had a great time there along with 3 other guests. We arrived early and did need to wait about an hour for our check in as our room was being cleaned. No problem we did arrive early. The office attendant was very helpful with information about the area and other things to do. The rooms were clean and very
spacious. The view was awsome. We also enjoyed the pool and private beach. Washer & Dryer is included in the unit. There is a small grocery store located within walking distance to the right exiting the drive. Its maybe 1/4 mile? We picked up breakfast items, washing detergent & snacks for a reasonable price there. ICE is available from the office also. Cable is also in the unit. Thing to do: We did not have a rental car, but there is a public transportation bus you can take for $1 each way to go into town. A taxi was used to go over the bridge to see Atlantis and the great aquarium there or you can take the ferry. We also were able to book a snorkeling excursion with the SEAHORSE catamaran just opposite Atlantis. So much fun. There is the Crystal Palace casino walking distance. Public beach is just a 20 min ride on the bus. Want to meet the locals I recommend the FISH FRY on the beach. Also was able to book a deep sea private charter fishing boat that picked us up right at the dock where the ferry is. One note. the stores and nightlife in the immediate area are pretty much non-existant except for the Casino. If you want a relaxing vacation away from the crowded tourists I recommend Guanahani Village. The bartenders at the bar by the pool were great also. There were people from a jet ski pace that offered us to rent thenm right from the private beach. We also were able to do some of our own snorkeling right off the beach. Watch for the barracuda. LOL

Every year or two, my family takes a trip to Atlantis and we obviously love it there and have a great time. This year, we heard that a lot of the amenities there were being shut down because Atlantis wasn't doing well, and it just so happened that a friend of mine had an Ownership at Blue Water Resort (The new Guanahani Village). I decided to take him up on his offer of allowing us to go down to use his villa for the week, and after reading reviews
I had mixed feelings. I know that the Resort has recently undergone major renovations - and that the units of the past were met with mixed results (I'm assuming the other reviewer from last year had one of these). Most of all of the units have recently been renovated and the place was great - from the space to the ladies at 'Da Sand Bar'. My friend has owned there for a while so he has seen the old and the new and told me that I wouldn't be able to believe how drastically things have changed here in the past few years. 42" Plasma TV in our living room, really nice property and my family loved it. We may actually seriously consider switching from Atlantis to here. It was just such a nice feel and allowed us to not feel like we were just another number at a large chain hotel like Wyndham or the come-and-go at Atlantis - you really don't realize it until you get away from it. Couldn't have been happier. Max from Philadelphia

We arrived early and were unable to check in. We returned at 4:30pm as check-in time was reportedly at 4:00pm but no one was in the office. After walking around the property we inquired of the security guard who had the keys for our unit. The unit was large but very outdated. The rugs& bedspread were dirty and bathrooms tubs were full of mold & mildew. On our first day maintainence came to fix a "leak" which they soon turned into a flood of the upstairs
bathroom, underlying kitchen, ceiling tile and floor. They told me that they could not move us to another unit and I had to demand that the rug be cleaned. I found the staff to be polite, but services in general were lacking compared to other vacation rental homes that we have visited.
