Atlantis Paradise Island Royal Towers

Atlantis Paradise Island, Paradise Island, New Providence Island, Bahamas

If you plan on spending your days riding the slides at Aquaventure and nights in the casino and the nightclub, then centrally located Royal Towers is the Atlantis hotel for you. While the cheaper Coral Towers and Beach Towers offer comfortable accommodations, this is the section of the hotel where you start to feel some luxury. Regular rooms are large and well appointed, with a (fake) French balcony. But if you dream of sitting outdoors looking at the ocean, waterscape, or Nassau Harbour, opt for one of the even more spacious and luxurious suites. Here's an interesting fact: Michael Jackson was the first guest in the Bridge Suite, the nearly 5,000-square-foot, 10-room suite suspended between the two Royal Towers, but anyone can rent it out; it includes the use of seven full-time staff members to cater to your every need. A $45-per-room daily resort fee includes Wi-Fi, fitness center access, bottled water, movie theater access, casino lessons, and shuttles throughout the sprawling property.

PROS

  • best access to top Atlantis amenities, including the spa and Aquaventure water park
  • larger rooms than other Atlantis towers
  • you'll never run out of things to do

CONS

  • only suites have real balconies that you can sit on
  • hard to find peace and quiet
  • eating on property gets expensive, and the cheapest fast-food options aren't very good
