Grand Bahama Island Sights

William's Town Beach

  • Beach–Sight

Fodor's Review

When the tide is high, this slice of relatively hidden beach (from East Sunrise Highway, take Coral Road south, then turn right onto Bahama Reef Boulevard) can get a little narrow, but there's a wide area at its east end, where a pig roast–jerk pit stand called Michele's Jerk Out does business. Across the road, a number of beach shacks have names such as On Da Rocks, Gone Le-Git, and Toad's on the Bay. Island Seas Resort, next to the pig roast stand, has its own modern

interpretation of the local beach shack, called CoCoNuts Grog & Grub. Amenities: food and drink; parking (no fee); water sports. Best for: solitude; swimming; walking.
