$$-$$$, Harbour Island
Fodor's Review:
The resort sits on 9 hilly acres right above its namesake, the world-famous, 3-mi-long pink beach. The bright, individually decorated guest rooms have British colonial-style furnishings. Upstairs rooms -- reached by curving steps -- have access to expansive rooftop terraces. Some rooms have child-size futons and adjoining bedrooms; all have small private balconies overlooking the ocean or lushly planted gardens through French doors. The restaurant offers an eclectic mix of Bahamian favorites and Italian classics, served on a balcony with open arches framing breathtaking views of the ocean. Lunch is served at a beach bar high above the rosy sand.
