Bimini Blue Water Resort

$-$$, North Bimini

Fodor's Review:

You can still rent Marlin Cottage, the place where Hemingway wrote parts of Islands in the Steam, and knock back daiquiris in the wood-paneled bar. Rooms in the main building are well-worn but comfortable. Additional rooms and suites, which have large windows and private patios, have a circa-1960 South Florida theme. The Anchorage restaurant ($-$$), overlooking the ocean, serves excellent fresh seafood and has satellite TV. The 32-slip marina and dockside pool are across the road on the lee side of the island.
