Buccaneer Club

¢-$, Caribbean, Eleuthera Island

User Rating: ***** 5.0

Fodor's Review:

On a hillside overlooking the town and the harbor, this mid-19th-century farmhouse is now an atmospheric restaurant with an outdoor dining area surrounded by a garden of bougainvillea, hibiscus, and coconut palm. The beach is a leisurely five-minute stroll away, and the harbor, where you can also swim, is within shouting distance. Local artwork graces the walls at the Buccaneer Club, where you can sample such native specialties as grouper, conch, and crawfish (breakfast and lunch only).

True Taste of the Bahamas

This restaurant is under new ownership. Lisa is from Canada (apparently her poor husband is still there for a little while)and she has made some awesome changes to this quaint restaurant. The caesar salad is to die for, and the prices are very reasonable. Bahamian Fried Chicken (the island version of KFC) is on the way and promises to be a huge hit among the locals and tourists alike. My experience was nothing short of fantastic!! Very highly recommended.
