Fodor's Review:
If you prefer down-home coziness over slick glamour, then this charming inn -- on the site of a former orange plantation perched on a hilltop overlooking the ocean -- is the place to stay. Guests are treated like family, and the homey feel extends to the comfortably eclectic living room and daytime honor bar. Danny and Judy Lowe -- he's Bahamian, she's Irish -- have owned the inn for more than 20 years. Orange Hill has a reputation as an inexpensive alternative for honeymooners and scuba divers. It's a half-hour drive from town, 15 minutes from the casino, and 300 feet from a pleasant roadside beach. Rooms and apartments vary considerably in size. Two cottages, including a hexagonal cabin with a pitch-pine ceiling and a sweeping view of the ocean, were added in 2005.
