Angus beef and fresh native seafood -- flame grilled and seasoned with home-mixed spices -- are the specialties at this romantic restaurant in an old Bahamian mansion on Lake Waterloo. The dining room opens to a walled courtyard niched with Roman-style statues and gardens that lead to a waterside balustrade. Besides seafood and steak (carnivores should try the filet mignon smothered in mushrooms), menu selections include chicken, lamb, pasta, ribs, and several Bahamian-inspired dishes such as conch fritters and minced crawfish with taco chips. A favorite dessert is Fort Montagu Mud Pie.

Montagu Garden the BEST!

We've tried a lot of the restaurants while on vacation on Paradise island and found this one to be the best ever. They have pick up service and the staff is very friendly. The food was really great-lobster tail was moist and plentiful with baked potato and salad included. The grouper was the best I've had. Reasonable prices too!
