On a quiet, private peninsula opposite the main settlement of Marsh Harbour sit seven waterfront clapboard cottages, cheerily painted in pale pink, yellow, blue, and green. Inside the air-conditioned rooms are rattan furnishings with pastel cushions and porcelain tile floors. A small sand beach is out front, and the cottages are right near Mermaid Reef, a top pick among snorkelers. There's no restaurant on-site, but there's food within walking distance at the Marsh Harbour Marina; for other options, you'll need to rent a car or, better yet, a dinghy, which you can tie up for free at the 100-foot dock.
